After receiving a BA/MA in communication and rhetoric from the State University of New York at Albany, Jessica Festa decided the traditional office job with two weeks’ vacation per year wasn’t for her. Instead of going on job interviews to work for someone else, she decided to create her own career, where her travels would actually help pay the bills. She started her travel blogs, Jessie on a Journey and Epicure & Culture, and was able to turn them into a full-time career.
