Course: Stroke prevention: Living longer and better

Marselina Arshakyan has a PhD in Life Sciences and is a medical writer and science communicator with a strong belief that for a healthier community, advances in medicine are as important as their effective communication to the public.

But more importantly, she’s a stroke survivor who suffered a wake-up stroke at 30. After recovery, she explored the scientific literature to seek the reasons for her stroke at such a young age. She wished she knew them before, so she could have prevented her stroke.

Now, she’s actively participating in stroke campaigns to raise awareness of stroke risk factors and how to cope with them.
